now i can feel it like someone has put methylene in my chlorinated veins

and you think that now that i can see my blue blood, that it’s been that way all along

as though the cerulean is my dressed-up-disease.

i guess in some ways it is,

but it’s really just you in ways you’ve never known,

and now i have to cut out all the parts of me that hold your stain.
